Brian’s musical journey began at age 9 and includes 15 years as a professional touring musician before transitioning into production and collaboration work.
His collaborators include 2004 NEA Jazz Master Jim Hall, widely regarded as one of the most influential jazz guitarists in history, and Grammy-winning composer Maria Schneider. His work extends to opera legend Renée Fleming and rock innovators including Trey Anastasio of Phish, spanning jazz, classical, contemporary, and popular music with internationally recognized artists.
Brian’s extensive catalog includes seven albums with Jim Hall, multiple projects with the Maria Schneider Orchestra, and collaborations that range from intimate jazz settings to major orchestral works. His work as producer and creative collaborator has contributed to multiple Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning recordings.
Recent recognition includes a Grammy Award for producing Maria Schneider’s “Data Lords,” which earned Maria Schneider recognition as a 2021 Pulitzer Prize finalist, representing one milestone in a decades-long commitment to musical excellence and artistic collaboration.
